I figured this is a good place for my to keep my thoughts about all my tabletop adventures. I will will keep thoughts about lists, pics of completed models and WIP, and maybe even some slimmed down battle reports.

WIP: Primaris Intercessors
This morning, I thought that if I wanted to have any chance of finishing the Intercessor before the new year I needed to lay down the Agrellan Earth so it can crackle. Hopefully, by the time I get home they will have crackled and I can add the sealing layer down so it can dry by the morning. That way I can finish the rest of the details before the end of the year.

Showcase: Primaris Lieutenant
Before the rest of the house woke on Christmas morning, I had a little time to finish my Primaris Lieutenant. I was working on him along a few intercessors and instead of finishing the back painting I decided to finish him up first.

Showcase: Primaris Inceptor
Merry Christmas all. Last week, inbetween cooking, wrapping, and partying, I finished up painting a squad of Inceptors. This catches me up to the rest of the warlords for the Tales of X warlords. After a slow start I have finally caught up.

Martian Board Work In Progress
Hi all, Blockade here.
Other than that awesome intro Grenn Dal gave me, not much to say! I'm glad to be here, and I'm sure you'll get to know me in time. I wanted to start with this project I've been working on for the club.
Project Name: Martian Mining Board
Goal/Project Overview:

A New Contributor
One of my friends from the Tabor Warhammer group is a lot like the rest of us. He builds, paints, and plays with his armies. Unlike the rest of us he also enjoys making terrain. We have been bugging him on making some tutorials and after much nagging and prodding, he has agreed. I have offered my Blog to him to use as his own and he has agreed to write up a few posts.

Reivers Finished!
Over the Weekend I had time to finish up my Primaris Reiver squad. I found once the main color was finished the rest fell into place rather quickly.

Showcase: Primaris Reiver
With my starter set finished, I moved onto the second month of activity the Elite. When I first looked at this slot I thought my only choice were Primaris Reivers. I picked up a couple of the easy to build boxes and off I went.

Showcase: Primaris Inceptors
Over the weekend I had some time to finish up my Inceptors. I love the look of these heavy bolter wielding jump troops. They went pretty quickly.

It's that time of year again!
The end of the year is drawing closer and with that I like to look back at the goals I laid out and see how I did. With the move I believe I fell short on a few of these but that is okay. They are goals, not deadlines.

Tales of X Games: Choosing a Centerpiece
So, the last month of the campaign is the centerpiece for the army. I am thinking I might want a Forgeworld piece and use a couple months of my budget for it. I just have to decide what Forgeworld piece I want.

Tale of X Gamer: Primaris Intercessors Sqaud
This week I took a hour here, an hour there and finished up my first squad of Primaris Intercessors. I am happy on how they turned out.
Casting
One of my friends wanted to know how I did my casting. Before I get into my process I just have a disclaimer that this is not the best way but it is a way that I can get to work. For some reason resin just doesn't like me. That being said, lets get started shall we?

Gretchin
Next month is the Shorehammer Highlander tournament where I am bringing orks to throw down the gauntlet. Since it is only one of each unit I have to bring gretchin to fill out my troops slot. This means I have to paint gretchin.

Tale of X gamers..
So my local group is doing a "Tale of X gamers" event over the next few months. This is a friendly event where people start a new army and each month you have a goal of getting a box and having it painted by the end of the month. For my army I have started a Primaris Marine army. GASP!

Preview: Tyranids on Twitch
So over on Twitch they have Warhammer.TV and they also had a preview of the Codex. Here are a few screen captures and some tidbits I picked up.
Preview: Tyranid Stratagems
Today the Warhammer community has previewed a few stratagems for us from the new codex. These are nice and make me eager to see the rest of the bunch.

A new look and title....
It has come to my attention that I have strayed from my xenocentric ways adding in Guard, Ad mech, and Sisters to my ranks. With the addition of my newest army Cawl's Hammer, a primaris marine chapter, I felt that a change is needed. I will keep the web address the same but I have a new look and title to the page.
I thought about opening up another site but then I would have to keep 2 sites active and that just seems to hectic for me. So the site is 40k FTW and it will cover all armies that I currently own.
Stay tuned for some exciting Primaris action.
Questions? Comments? Cawl's will be done?

Ad Mech Part 1: Graia &Metalica
I am a bit late but I am finally getting to my Ad Mech review. So instead of a wall of text I have decided to break it up into a few different posts. Since the Forge worlds are this biggest change in the codex, each post will feature two forgeworld and I will give my thoughts on their Dogma, Warlord Trait, Stragetems and relics.

UPdate: What have I been doing?
It has been a crazy few weeks at home. I have not had a lot of time to focus on my hobby. I got a game in at the shop where my genesteal cult got smashed by the the eldar, I did some work on my display cabinet, and painted a little bit of the Grot Mega Tank (GMT). This weekend I picked up the ad mech codex I will probably try to write up a review later this week.

WIP: Gaming Room
When we moved, we decided that we would rather own than rent. When we found our house, I found I had a large room downstairs that we never had before. We decided this was my chance to have my very own game room.

Kitty came out to play!
Last week I brought back the bugs to duke it out at the Thursday
night league night. One of the workers
was disappointed when I brought my orks last time so to make him happy, my
tyranids got to come back for more biomass.

Moving has hut my hobby time!
Hello all you readers out there, I know I have been pretty quiet this last week and for that I am sorry. My only excuse is that I didn’t get a game in and I was moving into the new house. My posts might still be a bit sporadic as I am settling down in the new place but if you hang in there with me I will have more content coming at ya.

Last week I got another game of 8th in at my local game store. While I love my bugs, my orks were itching for a fight (when aren't they?) So I put together a list, including the new grot mega tank(GMT) and got ready to throw down.

A 40k Welcome to the Mid-West
This Week, I had my first 40k game in the "new" town. I played at my the old haunt of Fantasy Books and Games. It was their typical 40k league night and they are running the "Fate of Konor" campaign. I decided to bring my space bugs and man were they hungry.

Moving and a Going Away Present
This past month has been crazy. The main reason for the craziness is that I
am moving. I will be leaving the DC area
and moving to the mid-west. While I won't miss the traffic or the crowds, I
will miss an awesome gaming group.

Hobby Time: DIY Wound Markers
With the release of 8th edition we have seen an increase of wounds on most of the non infantry models out there. Most of these have more than 6 wound making them harder to track with our standard dice. We could use mulitple dice or different dice to keep track but I think maybe a wound counter might be a better solution.

A New Era has Begun!
This weekend I had the chance to get in 3 small games of 8th
edition. We each played 1000 points army
from a different faction. Even though
one game does not give a complete picture of how well or bad and army or unit
is, it is a glimpse of what it can do or downfalls it may have.

WIP hormagaunts
In 8th edition, the role of the lowly termagant has
changed slightly. Sure they are still
cheap little guys that help bubble wrap our larger monsters from charges. The difference now I don't need the never ending supply of models since the tervigon doesn’t make
new units unless I set aside points for it.
This means that I don’t have to worry about not having enough models
when it is time to make more guys since I am only replenishing models that have died. So, when I found a fresh box of termagants I thought why not makes some hormagaunts.

8th is Here!
This weekend 8th edition came out. with all the leaks and previews that have spilled out I have had a good look at this new game. Now that I have the book in hand I am working though the rules and units on my own. This bring me to my first dilemma: Toxicrene or Morkanaut.

Seraphim
I continued to paint up my Sisters of battle. This time I painted up a seraphim. This could be a superior or one of the Gemini siters that go with Celestine. With the new edition I am not sure what it will be.

With all of the news coming in about 8th edition, I wanted to look back on my record in 7th. My group has one last hurrah left and that will be a big apocalypse game. Since that won’t affect my records, we can look at how I did this edition.
