Dreadtober: Mission Accomplished!

This is the last week of Dreadtober so I had to finish up my Ironstrider and new sentinel.  Both were close to completion so it was not to difficult.

WIP: Skitarii Peltasts

I was excited yesterday,  My Peltasts upgrades came in.  I am eager to get these on the table ant give them a try.  I had assembled the bodies already so all I needed to do was clean them off and glue them on.

Now that the ironstrider is built and primed, it is ready to be painted.  I made a good amount of progress last night.  Lets take a look.

Showcase: Kataphron Destroyers and Skitarii Vanguard

This week I finished up painting my Kataphron Destroyers and a stray Skitarii Vanguard with arc rifle. With these painted I have a fully painted 1500 point list of combined Adeptus Mechanicus.  I still have several things I can add but at least for now, I can field an army without using proxies or unpainted models.

Shorehammer: Skitarii List

With the interest in the upcoming Shorehammer Convention, I decided to look at some of my armies and figure out what I need to get ready for the big day. First up will be my Skitarii.

Showcase: Infiltrator Princeps

After assembling my Infiltrators I noticed that I hadn't built a model as a princeps.  This will make it tougher when I have to distinguish which model is which.  Looking at the parts left over I started to look at what I needed to make one.

Showcase: Skitarii Troops

I finished up my Skitarii last night.  I am happy with how they turned out.  Even though they were not put together very well, I think I got them to a nice place so they look decent on the table.

Over the weekend I continued to work on my Skitarii units.  I kept most of the units the way they were modeled but, I did end up trimming off a few parts of robe to make it look a bit more natural.

Expanding the Skitarii to Adeptus Mechanicus

As my Skitarii Army is coming closer to being finished I have taken a look at what I have and what is left to collect. I have also been playing around with the idea of adding in some Cult Mechanicus to make it a true Adeptus Mechanicus army. In particular I am looking at the Elimination Maniple.

WIP Skitarii Vanguard / Rangers

I started working on the Skitarii than I got used.  I need to clean them up or repair them as well as I can before I can get them onto the playing field.

Picking up used models

While trying to stretch my hobby money I am always on the look out for some deals.  I tried to pick some models from barter town and Dakkadakka swap shop but since I don't have any previous transactions my PM are going on deaf ears.  So back to ebay I went.

showcase: Onager Dunecrawler

As promised, today I have some pictures of my Onager Dunecrawler.  This is the second one I have built.  I went a little crazy with the basecoat but overall I am happy with the results.

Game Day XXX

This weekend was Game Day XXX and I had a blast.  I took my tyranids and my Skitarii in hopes to get to try out the Skitarii and more importantly try out the Knight Acheron.

Showcase: Sicarian Infiltrators

On top of finishing my Hive Tyrant I also completed 5 Sicarian Infiltrators. I love the look of these guys.  While not very beefy they look fast and agile.  While they are not my best work I think they are pretty cool.

This weekend I found some time to work on my September hobby goal.  This month I would like to complete the flying hive tyrant and continue to work on my Skitarii force with the addition of some Sicarian Infiltrators.

So Yesterday I showed off my finished Skitarii Rangers. I finished out that box making 6 more Vanguards. I made out a spreadsheet so I know for each box what I need to make to get me to the 3 Vanguard units and 2 Ranger units. Onto the models
