WIP: Fire Raptor

Last week I was working on finishing the fire raptor.  I know it is late and I missed the deadline for it but like the hobby butterfly I am I comeback to my projects.

Tale of X gamers..

So my local group is doing a "Tale of X gamers" event over the next few months.  This is a friendly event where people start a new army and each month you have a goal of getting a box and having it painted by the end of the month.  For my army I have started a Primaris Marine army. GASP!

Skyhammer Annihilation Force

This weekend the Space Marine Codex came out and with it Games Workshop decided to release a web exclusive limited release formation that is out of this world.

The Skyhammer Annihilation Force is an awesome tool for any Space Marine player.  In essence it is two drop pods, two squads of Assault marines and two squads of devastators.  Nothing overpowered there.  Where the fun come in is with the four special rules: Shock Deployment, First the fire, then the Blade, Suppressing Fusillade and Leave no Survivors. Let's talk about that.

The rumors are flying around and it looks like next month is power armor jerk month.  After the last 2 Xenos books it is time we update the poster child of the 40k universe.  Here are so pics I got from Bell of Lost Souls.  I am sure they stole them from somewhere else...

Know thy enemy...(Space Marine rumors)

Now that eldar are released ( I am still on the fence about them) and Apoc is slated for a July release,  we turn to the rumor mill to find out what army is next to hit the upgrade button... come on nids, come on nids, come on nids..... dang.  According to current rumors it is Space Marines.... sigh.

The Battle of Armageddon

Yesterday we had an APOC game.  It was a re-enactment of the battle of Armageddon.  The one little catch is that the orks were outnumbered 2-1 on the main board.  On the main board were 2 stompas, a skullhammer and giant squigoth. unfortunately there were 2 warhound titan on the Space Marine side and a ton of tanks. If that was not impressive enough, the ork had 12 of the new planes to come in and cause havok. 

Fly me to the moon...

PlanetStrike Marines Vs Orks

Last night was the first night that we played a planetstrike scenario. Since I have a rather large ork army I was chosen as a defender.   My last couple of entries have been my setup and the army I was going to play.  Last night I got to play.  My setup was pretty close to what I planned except where I wanted ruins I had more forest and one of my battlewagons started in reserve.
