Using the Genestealer Cult Codex as a Chaos Cults Codex

Turning the Xenos menace into a Chaos Menace, eh?
Absolutely!

They're ready to lead the Wisdom Hunters to the promised land.

As you've seen, Grendal is busy showing off his newly finished, well, Genestealer Cult everythings. I picked up my copy of the code today, intending to use it with my Renegades and Heretics army.  I know some purists are very angry/loud about demanding a new Lost and Damned Codex, or getting the Renegades & Heretics list updated (both of which I approve), but what's a nascent tyrant-in-the-making to use in the meantime? Obviously, the newly released Genestealer Cult Codex.

With just a few counts as models and some loving conversions, you can make this list into a Chaos-based cult, rather than a Xenos based one. It's a bit of a text heavy post, so sorry in advance.

Narrative Campaign - The Lydia Incident

Hi All,

So to continually push myself, I've been exploring how to do a solo person narrative campaign that ties in Kill Team, Small scale missions, and works around my relatively hectic schedule. The missions posted are welcome to be used by any gaming club/group, etc., just be sure to give credit! (Regardless of alterations, etc). Please note that these posts may be longer than normal and may not contain tons of pictures. I'd love feedback, questions, or ideas of where to go! So here we go, entering into the Lydia Incident, part one.(also, sorry if the formatting is weird, copying and pasting from Google docs seems to not make Blogger happy.)

First Blood in Ohio

Saturday I had my first game in Ohio.  I went to Epic Loot Games for a pickup game or to join in a league that they run on Saturdays.  Unfortunately there was a convention with a 40k Tourney in Cincinnati so the attendance was low.  There was a big group of Xwing players there playing in a monthly tournament but no 40k players. 

Just a quick update...

The fellows over at Table Top Addicts have added a battle report of our latest battle.  It was a good game.  Makers is a good player and has a competitve list.  With a great unclean one 2 flying princes and fateweaver it is a truly scary list.  I got lucky with some roles and he was unlucky with his.  THis being said my list worked just like I planned.

So Friday I played the Chosen1 from Team Snake Eyes and his "friendly" army.  It was a bloddy battle and my robot dudes did not want to get back up.  here is his list

Chaos Cometh! And what I am reading.

So this weekend is the dawn of the new age of Chaos Space Marines.I am tempted to get this model for my Iron Warrior's War Smith.  I must resist.  I think if I ever try to finish my iron warrior army it will have a very non chaos feel.  this means no psychic powers, no icons, no gifts.  So pretty much all the cool stuff in the new codex will not be in my army. I think this is why I am so against working on the army.

Chaos is looking good?

That just doesn't sound right. Chaos is never "good".  I am seeing a lot of hype for the new Chaos stuff coming in a couple of weeks.   All of it sounds bad for my armies.  Just what I need, another powerful power army coming to kill my xenos.

Into the Warp

So I have finally decided to make a Chaos Space Marine army.  It will also be my first attempt at a fluffy army.  I am planning to make a Iron Warriors army.  I chose them because of what I have read about them.  From what I gathered they really didn't embrace the chaos but felt betrayed by the Emperor and the other loyalist.  They reject the "gifts" of chaos cutting off mutations and replacing them with bionics.
