With all of the Scions I have been painting lately, I thought I could use a ride for them. So I took some birthday money and got me the start collecting box.

Tempesus Scions

I was able to finish up some Scions. It was nice to be able to make some more room on the table.

Enter the Silent King

For my birthday, I treated myself to the Silent King for my Necron army.  He is a large model and very intimidating.  this post is the completed model.

A pretty model

Last year, Adepticon was canceled so Victoria Miniatures made their convention exclusive model available to the general public.  I was lucky enough to snag one.

Missed models

 I noticed that I missed a couple of models that I finished painting.  Let us take a look.

Van Saars Trooper

So,  my local grouptalked a little about playing some Necromunda.  Since I have been in love with the Van Saar models I decided to pick a couple up.  Here is my test model.

3D printed orks

I got an Anycubic Photon Zero printer for Christmas and was eager to see what it could do.  I have finally got a few prints now that actually look decent enough to paint up.  These are the three I have painted. 

Triumph of St Katherine

 It is been over a year since I started this model but it is finally finished.  If you are part of the Tabor Warhammer League on Facebook you have already seen these photos but if you stick around, I have a few comments from painting it.

Scions

I posted a while back about working on the Scions.  I finally finished my first set out of three.

 

In this set I have three hot shot lasgun, a volley gun, and a sergeant. I never know how I want to use them but I always know I need a couple of sergeants and some of the basic troops

I went with red eyes and red lights with these stormtroopers.  I also went with blue tubes since these are hot shots lasguns and I have not used that color before.  I think it looks good on these troops. 

I love these troops.  Maybe sometime I might try to make a Scion only army but I would need to add in some taurox.  Maybe I need to keep an eye out for some second hand models.

Back when I built these guys I loved the volley gun.  I think it is a decent weapon it is not as strong as a plasma gun but it does have four shots at AP -2.  It can help with killing hordes.

With these done I have have another two squads to paint.  One is already primed and partially painted and the other squad is built and waiting for prime. While I won't be finishing them right away I hope I can get them done this year.

Finishing Scions

It is funny, I thought I took out all of my models that need to be painted or built and placed them on my table of shame. Yesterday, I started working on the box of Scions I won from a charity event two years ago (WOW! where did the time go?) This got me thinking of the Scions I own and low and behold I found more work to do.

Secutarii Peltast

My first project of the year will be my Secutarii Peltast.  These are an addition to my Ad Mech army and have been waiting for paint for quite a while.
