Here's some awesome shots of my last two major characters for my Black Templars Army!

Black Templar Crusader Squad Finished

Hi All - The Summer Painting Challenge Continues.


I'm at the point where I'm trying not to say "I'm running out of things to paint" - Except that I am running out of 'priority' things to paint. I'm still got plenty of miniatures that need paint, but the vast majority are simply bringing tabletop quality models up to my 'best' quality models with highlight and washes. Many of these were painted when I was in my teens or college years, when It was literally spraypaint black, paint brown boots, metal gun, blue-grey armor for all my guard models. I also just finished practicing 'upgrading' one of these old Arcadian 4th (My custom guard regiment) models, and he doesn't look to shabby.

Anywho, here's the challenge update.

At this rate I'll have hit 100 by the end of July IF I can get started on these damn Vostroyans. Still trying to decide if I want to do the constrast paint on them for purple (but I'm unsure if it will match my other paint style) or just my normal purple, wash and highlight on the cloth.

Oh, and did I mention I'm looking at getting a custom platoon from Anvil Industries to match the Vostroyans and add some heft without breaking the bank too bad? Yea....gonna have to wait on that.

I thought I would get back to my Genestealer Cult and decided to paint my Clamavus model.

I while back I got my hands on the new Sister Superior Amalia Novena.  I have slowly been working on her in between all the other modelsI have done. last night, I finally finished painting her.

A week ago I had a post all planned out to show off two of my Fulgurite Electro-priests but I was having trouble with my phone and it didn't want to create a post.  So here we are a week later and I am working on my PC and I have all five of the priests ready for action.

After finishing one Sister of battle I felt like I needed to finish one small squad.  I had some time on Saturday and I got to work.  This will be picture heavy.

I had some time to paint one of the Sisters of Battle metal models.  The painting went really quick and while it is not my best painted model I think it is a good rank and file model.

Chainrasps

As usual, I have fluttered over to another project before finishing the one I started.  This time I decided to paint up some Chainrasps.

Atalan Jackal

I finally finished my last Jackal this weekend.  I still have the wolfquad to paint but that is an addon and almost a separate group.  This gives me a finished squad of four which can be legally fielded.

Genestealer Cult Magus

Last night I had some time to finish the new Magus model for my Genestealer Cult.  The model doesn't have any new, fancy rules over the old magus but this will give me a second magus painted and she is ready to lead her troops.

Final Aberrant

With the finishing touches added early this morning, I completed my goal of have the Aberrants done before the new models get released.

I found some time last night to finish up another Aberrant.  I only have one left before my self imposed deadline.

Finally Back to Aberrants

Now that the Nighthaunt that were on my workbench are done I am swinging back to the Genestealer Cult.  On my quest to have all my Aberrants done before the new models come out, I bore down and was able to finish one of the three remaining Aberrants.

More Glaivewraith Stalkers

This weekend I found some time to finish the squad of Glaivewraith Stalkers for my Nighthaunt army.

I was able to find the time to finish up one of my Glaivewraith Stalkers.  I am close with another two so maybe early this weekend I will have them done. 

Mourngul finished

This weekend, I continued to work on my Mourngul for Age of Sigmar.  If you don't count basing, he is complete.
