Whats left?

So I have been working on my Sisters of Battle for a while now and it is time I take stock and see what is left. Warning! there will be a lot of photos of unfinished models coming up.

A New Year, A New Army

2019 is wrapping up quickly.  While we still have a couple of weeks left, I thought I would reveal my plans for the new year.

Final countdown

We have entered the final three days before leaving for Shorehammer.  I am really excited.  I get to see some friends I have not seen in months as well as play a guaranteed six games.  That is probably more than the last three months put together. Before I go, I still have a laundry list of things that need to get done.

Sister News

So, Games Workshop (GW) had their big Nova Open announcement presentation last night and among the announcements were the Sisters of Battle  release.

The Bazaar 2019

Every August Fantasy Books and Games has their annual Bazaar where we can bring in items and they will sell them in a consignment like transaction. The catch is, instead of getting a cut they give you store credit.  It is a cool deal and you can find some real bargains.  Here is what I got this year.

Moar Shorehammer talk.

Last time I talked about Shorehammer, I was on the fence on which army I wanted  take. Since then, I decided to go with the Genestealer Cult (GSC). They are a different type army and my friend has thrown the gauntlet down for our grudge match and he want to face the GSC.

Dakka Dakka Mooooo!

Whew! What a weekend!  Adepticon 2019 is in the books and it was a hoot! I got to play some games,  see some "famous" people, and got to see a bunch of vendors.  I had a great time and I will tell you all about it.

Sooo Close

Adepticon is only days away.  As I have mentioned I am meeting up with Dave from the Tabor Warhammer League in DC to play in the Long War Doubles Tournament.  As the day approaches I thought I would set my expectations for the con.

Sneaky Gits

I didn't see this from Games Workshop but yesterday, Frontline Gaming sent me a email with a preorder for the Shokkjump Dragsta.

Hurray I can get my third buggy legit and not have to buy another speed freeks box. Thanks Games Workshop!

Painting While Traveling

While on the road, the past week I decided to try and take some brushes and paint and get a little painting done while I travel.  While I didn't get a lot done, I did manage to get some paint down on a couple of models.

On the Road

I am back!  Sorry for the blackout but I was traveling last week and did not upload any content. I went to DC to meet up with The Tabor Warhammer League as well as Pimpcon and his gaming group for their annual battle.

Genestealer Cult Hype

Over the weekend, Games Workshop had the Vigilus Weekender in which they had some of the upcoming Genestealer Cult(GSC) models on display. These leaks have got me interested again in the cult ( I still love you orks). The Warhammer Community even went out on a limb and said that the GSC codex is next. Seeing that only the GSC or the sisters, it is not a big surprise. Lets look at the models and I will give my ramblings about them.

Otktober and Dreadtober main project!

Welcome to the best month of the year!  It is that time again when I pledge to build and paint a dreadnought sized model throughout this month.  This year Games Workshop has also deemed it Orktober! So this year I am going to do my Ork Warboss conversion!

What's On My Table: 9/29/18

It is time again for my new post that I want to update weekly "What's On My Table" I have not had a lot of time to work on anything but I did get some work done. if you want to see my work log you should be able to follow along on my Hobby Kanban Board.

Bazaar Shopping spree

So this weekend was my Friendly Local Game Store Bazaar event.  I came home with some good deals and rare finds.

Time flies....

Lately life has been keeping me busy.  I have sneaked in a few hours here and there of hobby time without any gaming.  Today I wanted to recap what I have been working on these past couple of weeks.

LVO Haul

Last post I talked about two out of my three goals for the Las Vegas Open (LVO). Today I want to talk about the vendors and what I ended up taking home with me.

LVO: thoughts and pictures

Hello All! I am back from the Las Vegas Open (LVO) and I completed all three of my goals. Today's post I will talk about and show two of my goals. In this post will be a lot of images of just a few armies I saw as well as some of the wargaming celebrities.

Looking Ahead

While I fix the repulsor and wait for a nice day to prime it I thought I would get started with my hellblasters.  Seing that I was in a basecoating mood I also laid down the teal on a lt, the ancient and a random intercessor. This got me thinking on how far I have come and how far I still have to go.

A New Contributor

One of my friends from the Tabor Warhammer group is a lot like the rest of us. He builds, paints, and plays with his armies. Unlike the rest of us he also enjoys making terrain.  We have been bugging him on making some tutorials  and after much nagging and prodding, he has agreed.  I have offered my Blog to him to use as his own and he has agreed to write up a few posts.
