first dradt of my Adepticon army

So after leaving my poll up for a few weeks I have come to the conclusion that I will bring Tau to adepticon.

Here is a first rough draft.

Getting ready for tournament.

With an upcoming tournament I thought I would put a few lists together and see how the look. It is 1000 points anything goes. We will also be using the maelstrom of war missions. This month is bug month so the Tyranids will be taking the field.

3 for 1! first New Ork List...

As promised, today I have not one but 3 lists for you.  I looked through the codex and I think I have come to the same conclusion that every one else has, this edition is about a lot of boyz.

Game inbound: Ork List

Today, weather permitting I am going to head down to my local game shop and try to get in a game.It is a new month so I am playing a new army.  This month is Ork Month. Waaaaagh!

I get to play a good Friend, Chosen1 from Team Snake Eyes Blog, before heading back home. He wanted to try out his friendly list for Adepticon. Since I dubbed this month IG month I quickly slapped together an army. Let's look at My list:

First game in Ohio

This weekend I am actually have time to play a game of 40k.  the local Store Epic Loot Games have a 40k league and tonight I am going to find out if I can join in the fun.  I have my bugs here with me and they are starving!

so without knowing what kind of game and how many points I decided to make a few list to cover my bases.  you can take a look at my lists here:

I had a game with the shrikes and plan to try them out again tonight.  I still don't have a model for them.  I wish GW would hurry up and make one.  I plan to take apart the warriors I have to make the shrikes I want but until someone makes affordable wings (Sorry forge world you are too much) I will just have to proxy *Gasp*

Apoc returns!

Unless you live under a rock you should all know that Apoc is coming soon.  It so happens that my group scheduled a big game a week from Sunday.  We each get 3k of points to bring our favorite Xeno army ( yea no marines) and the chaos will begin!

List: Giving Shikes a try

Last week I went over the tyranid shrikes while in comparison to Raveners. After the dust settled I thought they could use a chance to hit the field.  So the next time I get to play I am going to give them a try. Here is the list and I will talk about changes after:

Back to the Rogue Trader...

This weekend there is a Rogue Trader tournament at my FLGS Fantasy Books and Games.  For the first time, in a long time, I am going to be in town. So, to take my mind off of missing my betrothed, I have decided to pack up the bugs and play a few games.

The King of the Nids!

I am tired of getting my flying hive tyrant knocked down turn 1.  Yea it gets him around the board quicker and he is harder to hi but almost every game turn 1 or turn 2 he gets hit by a bolter and then is grounded and then blasted off the face of the planet. I have decided to bring in the Swarmlord and see what all the fuss is about.

As the year of the bug continues I want to try out more units that I never use.  We has seen the Parasite, Deathleaper, a tryanofex, the carnifex and a trigon.  Next on my list is the Mawloc.

Getting ready...

This weekend is my first Adepticon ever.  I am going with Chosen1 from Team Snake Eyes an Chambers from The Back 40k. I am getting pretty excited.  I am avoiding any and all hard compitition though if I had a team I would love to do that but not this year. This year I am doing the friendly as well as Combat Patrol.

New Figs New List

If you have been reading the blog you know that I picked up a lictor dirt cheap so I decided to add him to my list as the Deathleaper (bum bum bummmmm) Lets first take a look at the list and then we can talk about this little guy.

Looking at combat patrol..

I have been talking about my friendly list for adepticon but have completely ignored the other game I am playing, Combat Patrol.  This is a 400pt game with limits like no more than 2 wounds, limited FOC, vehicles only having front armor 11 and a few others.

Campaign Day One - Nom nom nom

Tonight is the first night of the campaign.  I have some markers and now I need a list.  The rules call for 3 lists: A planetstrike attacker list, a planetstrike defender list, and a regular list.  I figure I can bring a standard list to the first night of play. lets's take a look.

My new bug list

So, I have played my Parasite list for a while and while it is ok I thought I would change things up and try using 2 tervigons and a carnifex.  MY big worry is that I will not have enough termagants to keep up with the spawning but we shall see. Also I am doing the whole screamer killer in drop pod technique.  I have a feeling he will die quickly... but then that is more shots at him and less at my raveners and hive tyrant :)

Birthday Bash Apoc Style!!!

This weekend is our big Apoc Birthday Bash! This year we have Tyranids vs the Imperium.  Of course I will be playing with my bugs.  I have been given 2500 points out of 15K. I figured I will go with a list that is similar to my current list with the exception of the big bad Scythed Heirodule and a Trigon formation.  Let’s take a look at the list:

Today I have decided to change up my Adepticon friendly list to add in some Parasite of Mortrex action into the mix.  He is kinda like the Spanish Inquisition.  No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
