May Update

Welcome to June! That can only mean it is time to look back and see what I have finished this month.  It has been a decent month I got to play some games.  So, without further ado, let’s dig in.

Knight Porphyrion

First off, I have the big boy a Knight Porphyrion.  After seeing what my printer did with the Warhound, I wanted to see what it could do with my favorite Knight.  I have always had a love of the rifleman look from Battletech and this is just a giant one. I did some posing with the foot to give it a more dramatic pose.  While this print is not as smooth as I wanted, I am ok with how it looks.  I will happily field this in fun games.

Hydrocast Malceptor

Next up is a model that has been hanging out waiting to be painted.  This version of the Malceptor has a big nod to the real one but it has a bit more flair.  I think it better handles the big head look of the originial. This completes my set of three Malceptor if I ever want to run the maximum number of datasheets. you can find this model

Svenotar Scout Trike

So I actually travelled out to see my old gaming group and we had two full days of gaming.  One of those days were a massive Necromunda battle.  We had fun racking up the kills and creating grudges.  I got this guy ready for the game incase I could fit him in and low and behold he made it on the board and jammed right out of the gate.  I had so many failed ammo checks.

Exo-Kyn

Speaking of Necromunda I also got a new box of Exo-Kyn to add to my gang.  I built a cool looking model and painted him up.  Little did I know the weapon I took was reckless and I almost took out my own boss with it.  The next guy I build will have something else.  But man does he look cool.

Heavy Mining Laser

The last Necromunda model is just a drill-kyn with a heavy mining laser.  I have a Forgeworld version of this guy but wanted another one in plastic.  Too bad I built him without the energy packs on his gun.  I quickly fixed this issue and painted the pack before the end of the month.

much better

Myrmidon Secutors

The last project of the month was a squad of Myrmidon Secutors.  These elite units are armed with two plasma guns and a big old axe.  They have been sold out of on the site forever, but someone has made a pretty good proxy for.  I finished these up on the last day of the month.  I plan to have a six-man unit to ride in my Triaros Armored Conveyor. With any luck I will have that painted up next month.

That is all for this month.  I played a few games and got a huge model and a large model, and a few smaller models finished.  I am getting closer to having a fully painted 30k army and I am sure I will be ready for the Shorehammer doubles.  Have a good month and remember as John says find some time to slay the gray!
