Hello again friends. For some strange reason, I have been putting off this update for no good reason. So, before I delay another day I thought I would just throw it together. After last month’s huge monster, I took a couple of weeks off to relax and I did nothing. After that rest, I got back into it and worked on a few pieces.
Hive Tyrant
My first piece was a hive tyrant proxy from Stationforge. While assembling my army for the big game I noticed I had a few options not really covered by my current collection so I printed up this tyrant with a bio cannon, lash whip, and bonesword. I am really happy with Stationforge’s proxies. I think they have the feel of the official Tyranids while not being a direct copy.
Flying Tryant
While I was working on tyrants I thought I would add a second flying tyrant to my hive as well. Another proxy from Stationforge joins the hive. Since my original is kitted out illegally now I thought I would make this one equipped legally with a bonesword and lash whip. Maybe someday I will fix my original to have a bio cannon.
Biovore
One day while I was at the official GW store I finally saw a Biovore kit. I snatched that box up before it disappeared again. I have been waiting since the model was released to add this generation of Biovore to my hive since I already had 3 different versions. With this version and the printed version, I found I now have 5 different Biovores. To be honest I think the printed one is my favorite.
Ork Komandos
Last month, I had the preda-ork from Puppetswar that I loved. This month, I started working on a squad of these guys to add to my Waaaagh! I loved the look and idea of the crossover. What better combination could you have than the predator and Orks? Maybe Tyranids and Xenomorphs?
Squighogboyz
With the new codex out, I noticed a few holes in my Waaaagh! One is that I only had 3 Squighogboyz painted. I quickly added another set that was built and primed. I switched to the contrast paint with my orks now so these will look different than my other 3 but I am not really troubled. I am happy with how these turned out.
Nob on smasha squig
With the new codex these guys are no longer on their own so if I have the boyz I need the Nob. Again, done with contrast/speed paint, he is ready to lead the boyz and does some krumping.
Beastboss
My last model of this month was a Beastboss. With the bullyboyz detachment, I thought I would try to see what a group of snaggas and a beastboss can do. According to my first game with them, they can die to a squad of Helbrecht and sword-brethren without a thought. At least he looked cool.
That is it for April. Since we are well into May, I have a few items completed and a few more I am working on. Hopefully, I will have that update on time in a couple of weeks. See you then.
