January Update

The first wrap up post of the year for January is finally here.  This month was a catchup of mostly epic scale models but a few others as well

Epic Terrain

First up I printed and painted up 3 buildings for epic scale.  These can be used to hide the big boys so we can play a bit more tactically.  So we are just not just standing back and firing.  This will give us some maneuvering options. It was a quick heavy dry brush. A lighter drybrush than a wash.  Finishing with a reapplication of the light dry brush

Epic Warhound

Next I completed a second warhound for my epic army. I love the look of the warhound.  One day I might try out titanicus and have a full warhound army to see if they to stand to a warlord.

Epic Warlord

To finish out the epic models for this month I have an epic warlord.  Of course, it is a Lucius pattern as is all my epic range.  While I love the sleek look of the Mars pattern it is just cool to have an army that stands out.  Once I have my resin printer back up and running, I need to finish my second warlord so I can have some options.

Snarlpack Cavalry

I wanted a break fomr all the mini robots so I grabbed a set of the Snarlpack Cavalry which was partially painted and finished them up.  There is something about little goblins riding vicious wolves that just warms my heart.  Thes were a quick little project that was a nice diversion from my recent buildings and robots.

Mirmydons  Secutors

After that quick break I eased my way back into the world of robots with some Secutors.  These half robot half men are a good way back into the world of robots.  This batch fills out my squad in my Mechanicum army.  These guys are a glass hammer that can put some hurt on some marines.  Hopefully putting some enough AP 2 on units to whittle away even the annoying terminator armor.

Nekrosor Ammentar

Lastly,  I have the Nekrosor.  We went back to full robot.  I am hoping for one day to get into the game shop to play a game of 40k with my Necrons. I didn’t like who the Necron green looked on this guy so I went back to my standard moot green.  It is the same color as the carapace of my tyranids.  I guess I am just partial to that color.

And there you have it.  First month down.  I am hoping to keep the momentum going but we will see.  I have a few big models to paint but they need finishing first before I can prime them.  We will see.  I hope you are finding some time to slay the gray!
