June Update

Time keeps on marching and another month has come and gone.  This month I worked on a few different armies and continued the theme of YEAR OF THE TITANS.  Lets take a look:

Thallax

First up I had a set of Thallax I completed .  I tried something different with these by base coathing them in copper instead of black.  I am not sure I want to keep the do this with these small models but it was an interesting attempt.

Triaros Armoured Conveyor

With the inclusion of the myrmidons, I couldn’t let their taxi go unpainted.  So, I worked on this beast of a tank.  When I primed it, it was a bit humid and caused a slight fuzzing.  This has created a weird texture but it in not to bad.  I will just have to keep a look out, so it doesn’t happen again.  I have the second variant on this model still waiting to be assembled.  I am not sure how big a hurry I am in to get it on the field but with the new edition I might just need to paint it up.

termagaunts-spinefist

The new termagaunts now come with spinefists.  Since I have a butt ton of fleshborers and devourers I thought I could make some spinefists from my leviathan termagaunts.  With the new speed paints it was a quick turn around on these guys. I do like having a few different poses for them.

termagaunts - special weapons

The new kit also came with three new weapons.  I would love to get a few more of these bits or maybe a printed version so I can run them in my big blobs.  Again speedpaints helped finish them in an evening.  I have at least one more set of built gaunts and probablt a couple of others waiting for special weapons.

Castellax

After clensing the pallete with the gaunts I got back into painting more mechanicum/  This time it onw one of my printed Castellax.  I found a file with a smooth shoulderpand after finishing printing these guys.  Oh well not like many people will notice.  I have continued with the crome marker for the faceplate.  I really love how it has turned out.

Lucius Pattern Warhound

After printing the Mars pattern on my Bambu A1-Mini I got my Halot Mage 9k back up and running.  I found the Lucius Pattern files so I thought I would give it a shot. I am happy how it came out.  I even like it better than my Mars.  I went with the Plasma and the Flamer weapons but I magnetized them so I can switch them out if I decide I want other options.  I would have to print them. I added a warlord head to the base for some interesting terrain.  I like it but wish the model was a little more beat up.  Oh well.

Harridan – printed

With the Warhound prainted that bring me to a total of 3 titans completed this year.  I just couldn’t stop there so I say my Harridan sitting on my pile waiting for the motivation to start painting it.  Well that time came.  This big guy was a difficult to hold but since I was using the same painting technique as I did with the gaunts it was relatively quick to get it done.  I am very pleased with the result and only unhappy with the base size but that is what it is supposed to be on.  He looks right at home next to big momma on the shelf.

Well there you have it.  Another successful month done.  I am already working on more models and hope to find the motivation to complete them as well.  I still have 2 knights and a stompa partially painted that I would love to finish this year who know maybe I will try one of them in July.  Until then I hope you guys can find some time to slay the gray.
