I figured this is a good place for my to keep my thoughts about all my tabletop adventures. I will will keep thoughts about lists, pics of completed models and WIP, and maybe even some slimmed down battle reports.

WIP mega Dread
So we have an apoc game coming up and I wanted to have something special. My first blog post: first musings was about this decision to get a mega deff dread over the stomp. I later had my first pics of the dread and now I have it assembled and mostly painted. I like how it turned out and would be happy to field it as is. If I want to go back and add some details to this guy I might start with picking out the bolts and some of the random dags that are scattered around this model.

did not take any pics or take any notes so I really can't do a good battle
report. I will try to give as much detail as I remember. the list I used can be found here:

So Just a quick update.
the Guys at Puppets War have done it again.
This guy would be a good stand in for a Necron Spyder for the aspiring Necron player. I think it looks nice. The only problem I have with it is that it is a bit pricey. The rurmors I have heard say that the second wave is coming in may. I will give GW till then. If I don't see anything by the first week I am going to order me some necrons from this site.
If GW picks up the ball I will order some VSE Motorcycle Squadron to make some rough riders

Happy Monday people. In between playoff hockey and more Warriors Orichi I actually got some building and painting done. first of all I built 3 of my last 4 lootas built. I couldn't build my last one because the sprue was missing a piece. I put in an email to GW but I am not holding my breath on getting a response. here is a shot of my built lootas

Planetstrike Refused flank layout
So it is my third week defending in planet strike. So it is time to try the classic big base with
refused flank. Let’s look at the map.
Key:
Grey squares – bastions
Black bars – tank traps
Green blobs – hills (difficult terrain)
Red blobs – rocky ground (dangerous Terrain)
Grey dashes - defensive walls
So the refused flank stratagem is 3 points so I have to have 3 bastions. I have circled the wagons and surrounded my
fort with defensive walls and I put up some tank traps to try to stop the land
raider rush from the sides.
As for a list I plan to try out the lootas again in one of
the small bastions and the big guns in the other with a shoota boys mob with
mek with KFF in the center. I will add
in a couple of battle wagons with boys into reserve and either some Kans or a
looted wagon for fire support. I will probably
bring my storm boys to the party since I have been having fun with them lately.
After all that I will need to see how many points I have left. Another group of
boys would be welcome or maybe a nob squad with a warboss. Stay tuned tomorrow for my list.

Ok, Monday is here and my usual post is a WIP post. Well..... I didn't do much this week thanks to Warriors Orochi 3. This game is a mash-up of the Dynasty Warriors games, the Samurai Warriors games and other action games by KOEI.
If you haven't played any of these games, basicly they take historical events and turn them into action games where you take control of a general from a faction and run through the story killing hundreds if not thousands of peons while looking for the other sides general. It is good mindless fun.
In this game not only do you level up your team (you play each level using 3 generals) but to open up certain levels and character you have to build up relationships between your Generals. With over 100 characters to open this can take a while. So most of this weekend, when I was not outside doing yard work, I have been playing this game. It is a fun hack and slash game. It even has a co-op mode though a bit wonky to get connected. My only complaint is that you can't play a map with a friend unless you have played it alone. This is fine after you have gone through the game and just want to have fun with your friends.
So in conclusion, Warriors Orochi 3 is a fun game. Not very deep but fun. I give it a 3 out of 4. Maybe I will get some painting done this week.
