I figured this is a good place for my to keep my thoughts about all my tabletop adventures. I will will keep thoughts about lists, pics of completed models and WIP, and maybe even some slimmed down battle reports.

A non friendly game in the friendly...
This weekend I had a blast during Adepticon. The Friendly was cool. I had 2 great games with a couple of good guys. However, there is always an however, my middle game was not what I expected. before I get into the details here is the description from the friendly event page:
"The AdeptiCon Warhammer 40K Friendly is at its core a casual event. The emphasis is on rolling dice, drinking a beverage of your choice and enjoying a game of toy soldiers. A game you might have played in a wood-paneled basement before the advent of Grand Tournaments and Independent Circuits…if you are indeed that ancient. To that end, players are encouraged to bring flavorful, thematic, and/or hobby-inspired lists that reflect the rich background of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Warhammer 40K Friendly is about the overall journey, one where individual performance should be of secondary concern. If this is your idea of a good time, then you have found the right event! If you have a difficult time letting go of your competitive nature, you very well might have signed up for the wrong event and should get added to the Warhammer 40K Gladiator and/or seek a refund!
It's like, how much more friendly could this be? And the answer is none. None more friendly. Armies that are obviously not in the spirit of this event will receive merely a two word review. How do you get there you might ask? Well, AdeptiCon 2013 is one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most gamers, you know, will be playing at ten. Where can you go from there? Where? Eleven. Exactly. One louder."
with that being said I give you my opponents list:
Primary - space wolf
Drop pod with 2 rune priest wit Jaws of the wold wolf each and min grey hunters.
Drop pod with 1 rune priest wit Jaws of the wold wolf each and min grey hunters.
drop pod with longfangs
drop pod with min unit of grey hunter
Allies- blood angels
Drop pod blood company, librarian with blood lance
5 drop pods... 3 jaws and a blood lance....
If this was a normal tournament I would not have a problem with this list since it is legitimate and would be highly competitive. I just don't think this a friendly list. I think someone missed the memo. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe I am overreacting. In my opinion Jaws is cheesy by itself but 3 of them? Maybe they got the dreaded 2 word review. Then again I don't know what review my army got so maybe it was cheesy as well.
When it comes down to it though it was a quick game I and I got to go cheer on my buddies in their endeavors. Chosen1 was playing a cool Polish guy who ended up winning best painted army in the Friendly.
Over all it was a fun day. I had a great time. I hope I get to go again.

News flash! New Tau FAQ!
So the new Tau FAQ is out and the big news is that crisis suits can buy 2 individual weapons instead of 1 twin linked system. so now you can have dual missile suits or dual plasma suits. This will make them more deadly if I start using marker lights.
All Your Tau Belong to Us...
One of the team tournament armies was a Tau / Necron army. Yester day I had a few images of the display board today I have my video of the board.
They had some cool conversions with the wraith torsos instead of the tank cupolas. They also had some neat objective markers on meing a tau being transformed another is a warrior walking through a teleportation gate.
They even had a tomb vault with lights showing the raiding of another tomb world to gain more troops. hope you enjoy the video.
here is a good shot of the lighted tomb chamber
Tomorrow I will talk about my experience in the friendly and how I did. until then...

Shots from Adepticon!
today I am winding down from my first Adepticon. I took a bunch of pictures but only a few came out so the lesson I learned is bring a real camera not your phone or video camera. Also I found that doing ballte reports is impossible. I had a hard time hearing anything in that place. I apologise to any opponent that I faced and had to ask them to repeat themselves.

So it begins
We got to adepticon late on Thursday and got registered. I got in a demo of. The game Wreck Age. While the game was entertaining I found the minis a bit weedy. I guess I prefer the heroic scale not the true scale.

Getting ready...
This weekend is my first Adepticon ever. I am going with Chosen1 from Team Snake Eyes an Chambers from The Back 40k. I am getting pretty excited. I am avoiding any and all hard compitition though if I had a team I would love to do that but not this year. This year I am doing the friendly as well as Combat Patrol.

Easy come...
easy go...
The new Tau are here and they look cool. After looking at them, and hearing about their rules I was getting all excited. Then the other day my buddy who had sold his Tau to me displayed some interest in getting them back.
After mulling it over in my head, and after weighing building up this army up to competitive play or streamlining the armies I own, I have decide that if he wants them back I will give them back to him. I will keep the forgeworld models and a few odds and ends.
If he doesn't want them back I might try to sell them on ebay... we will see. Shipping is getting crazy now. I need to start organizing my sets and get them ready for selling. I know I want to sell my dark eldar, eldar, and all flavors of space marines. In the end I will probably get rid of the necrons and imperial guard. Leaving me with just orks and Tyranids to play with.
I guess until the first item goes up for sale this is all just speculation. Until then..

Almost there...
The Tau book comes out in just a couple of days and I am getting excited. I have read all the rumors and now we have leaked photos from the codex. I have picked one set of photos to talk about but you can find the rest at Faeit 212 site.
